ACLS Provider
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support builds on BLS with the algorithms, pharmacology and team leadership skills needed to run a code and manage a patient who is crashing.
In this class
Practice until it holds up
ACLS is taught the way it has to be used — on your knees, hands on a manikin, working through the sequence until it stops being something you remember and starts being something you do.
Classes stay small, so there is real manikin time per person and real feedback on your technique rather than a room watching one demonstration.

Every topic is taught hands-on. You'll practice until the skills hold up under pressure, not just until you've seen them demonstrated.

Hands on the equipment
Where the AED pads go
On an adult, pads go anterolateral: one on the upper right chest just below the collarbone, the other on the lower left side below the armpit line. The heart needs to sit between them.
For a child under eight or under about 55 lb, use pediatric pads with a dose attenuator if the AED has them. If it doesn't, adult pads are better than no defibrillation — just make sure they don't touch each other.
You'll place them yourself, on a manikin, before you leave the class.

About your card
Official American Heart Association course curriculum, taught by a certified, AHA-authorized Instructor. On successful completion you receive an official AHA course completion card, valid for two years — the card Florida healthcare employers and licensing boards expect.
