CPR, AED & First Aid

The course for anyone who isn't a healthcare provider but needs a course completion card — or simply wants to be ready if someone collapses at home, at work, or on the job site.

Typically 2–4 hours, depending on the modules you need Two-year course completion card

In this class

Practice until it holds up

CPR is taught the way it has to be used — on your knees, hands on a manikin, working through the sequence until it stops being something you remember and starts being something you do.

Classes stay small, so there is real manikin time per person and real feedback on your technique rather than a room watching one demonstration.

Who this class is for

If you're on this list, CPR is almost certainly the course you need. If you're not sure, call or text — we'll confirm before you book.

  • Teachers, coaches and childcare staff
  • Personal trainers and fitness instructors
  • Office, retail and restaurant teams
  • Construction and trades crews
  • Family caregivers and grandparents
  • Anyone who wants to be ready

What we cover

Every topic is taught hands-on. You'll practice until the skills hold up under pressure, not just until you've seen them demonstrated.

  • Adult, child and infant CPR
  • Using an AED with confidence
  • Choking relief for all ages
  • Recognizing cardiac arrest, stroke and heart attack
  • First aid basics: bleeding, burns, allergic reactions
  • Calling for help and working with 911

Ways to take it

In person

Full class, taught hands-on from start to finish.

Blended

Do the coursework online, then meet for a short hands-on skills session.

At your location

We bring the manikins and AED trainers to your workplace.

Hands on the equipment

Where the AED pads go

On an adult, pads go anterolateral: one on the upper right chest just below the collarbone, the other on the lower left side below the armpit line. The heart needs to sit between them.

For a child under eight or under about 55 lb, use pediatric pads with a dose attenuator if the AED has them. If it doesn't, adult pads are better than no defibrillation — just make sure they don't touch each other.

You'll place them yourself, on a manikin, before you leave the class.
